Celebrating 60 years of providing sport activities for Individuals with physical disabilities

The Inaugural Russell Rodriguez Sporting Clay Shoot was a huge success.   Mark Singer, NWC Director of Fishing and Shooting, organized and planned a "top notch" event that was hosted at the Nashville Gun Club .

Russell was a huge fan of sport clay shooting and was a regular participant at the Shoot for the Future.  The National Wheelcats have stepped in to the host role of this event and plan to grow in participant numbers with each coming year.  The target for the event is to raise money for the Russell Rodriguez Fund that will assist newly injured persons with various equipment needs they may have.... just as Russell would have done.

This year the NWC, with help from sponsors like United Spinal Association, Academy Sports, Roho, Max Mobility, ABC Medical and the Nashville Gun Club,  hosted 50 shooters ( 37 able bodied and 13 in wheelchairs).  Multiple volunteers help with the shoot by keeping scores, carrying guns, passing out water, taking photos, and serving food.  A huge thank you to all that volunteered and participated in the Inaugural Russell Rodriguez Sporting Clay Shoot .
